Everything about the Nigeria society centuries back was rudimentary, simple, and straight from the heart. The people had tremendous belief in the

If something happened that they couldn't explain, they attributed it to the gods of the land. That basically prevented them from seeking for
scientific answers.
The gods of the land were represented by human priests. These priests communicated to the people what the gods of the land wanted done. And since the
people couldn't speak directly to their gods, they accepted the words of the priests as final. Many times, the people were manipulated by selfish
priests for their personal advantage.

now profess Christianity even though the actions and inactions of most people suggest they are only Christians in speech.
Nigerians are peace loving people. They have maintained reasonable calm even in the face of blatant fraud like election rigging. Potentially
explosive situations have come and gone with the people absorbing the shock and moving on.
The driving force in the reasonable peace that reigns in Nigeria is due to the fact that most people believe in God. They believe that God's time
is the best and that God will do something about the situation in the country soon.
