Nigeria and corruption

it is a sad news that what we call nigeria today is being charaterize by corruption. corruption ruins a nation.

nigeria have what it takes to manage its resoures in other for public accontability, transparency and good governance. Abuse of federal character principles is one of the causes of corruption in nigeria.

for example, appointing somebody that is not qualified to occcupy a position due to the federal character principles.

Another causes of corruption is high level of poverty, according to the radical school of thought, they postulated that high level of poverty emulate corruption in the country.

unless drastic measures are put in place to address the issue of corruption in nigeria, corruption will continue to blossom as long as it pays to be corrupt.
