land lady uses police to arrest and detain tenants inlaw at alagbon

A landlady Mrs Akinsola Juliet who resides at Somolu area of Lagos state but with a property at 36 Oyedara Street Ojokoro area of Ikorodu has used Policemen from Alagbon to arrest the inlaw of of her tenant named Idowu Hemcho.

The Youngman was taken in as hostage to effect the arrest of the tenant Mr. Yomi taiwo whom the Police alleged have refused to come to their office on invitation.

Mr yomi from a reliable source was said to be having a running battle with the Landlady over the arbitrary increment of the house rent without notice and his insistence on paying the old rate which the landlady also refused to accept.

The landlady through her agent one Kayode who also happens to be her brother took the tenant to court at the magistrate court ikorodu in April 2008.

She was represented by one Lawyer Daramola while Lawyer Raji represented the the tenant.

The case was struck out in April 2009 when the complainant suddenly changed her Lawyer without imforming the court.

She was advised to settle with her lawyer before representing her case.

Not satisfied with the decision of the court she resorted to self-help using thugs to threaten the tenant and his family.

The climax of her threat is when she now used the Police in E team at ALAGBGON led by ASP. KAZEEM and one Mrs WILLIAMS to issue a letter of invitation accusing the tenant of threatening the landlady which resulted in the illegal arrest and detention of young Idowu on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13 2009 AT ABOUT 7.30 am when he was about to take his birth.

PLEASE IS THE POLICE STILL INVOLVE IN ALL THIS ILLEGAL ACTIONS? IS HOSTAGE TAKING STILL ALLOWED?

WHY CANT THE POLICE ADVISE HER TO GO BACK TO THE COURT INSTEAD OF SEEKING SELF-HELP?
