The Lagos Stock Exchange, and in fact, Nigeria stock exchange, has made more Nigerians millionaires in the last 3 yrs than any other sector has.

Take an example.

Access bank shares was about =N=3 around November 2006. This rose to =N=19 in less than a year.

That is more than 500% increase!

Think about it.

What other sector has created so much wealth?

No other sector comes close.

Kudos to the central bank for the =N=25 billion minimum capital requirement for banks in Nigeria.

The major banks have even taken the concept further. After the initial public offer to achieve the mandatory =N=25 billion capitalization base, several banks (e.g. Zenith bank, Oceanic bank, First bank etc) have gone ahead to do another public offer.

First bank's public offer of =N=100 billion was even over-subscribed!

Incredible!

No doubt about it, Nigeria Stock Exchange is the bomb. Nigerian stocks are the most lucrative in the world.
