Lagos Estate Agents - Beware Of Fraud

Lagos estate agents are hardworking and conscientious.

That is obvious at first glance.

They crisscross the whole of Lagos searching for apartments for potential clients. They work night and day, often under high temperatures, to satisfy client needs.

Their effort is finally rewarded when they see a smile of satisfaction on the face of the client. Their job is done. The customer is happy, they are happy, and the day is worth remembering.

Of course, Lagos estate agents expect clients to pay them the real estate commission for every transaction. And the amount involved can be a major motivator.

But then that is not strange in itself.

Lawyers get paid by their clients . . . and with a smile of appreciation

Doctors get paid consulting fees by their patients

Counselors get paid consulting fees even though their advice may not always work

High priced consultants receive huge pay from clients for developing processes that many times do not work

All of the above professionals get paid by clients for offering some sort of consulting service. And for these professionals, what they stand to gain can be a big motivator.

Real estate agents are no different.

However, professional ethics requires consultants like real estate agents to disclose all relevant information to clients and provide unbiased professional advice.

In fact, this is the very reason why clients come to consultants . . . to provide professional, unbiased, unprejudiced advice based on prevailing circumstances and conditions.

So, the consultant is under obligation to provide excellent customer service to his clients.

Unfortunately, not all real estate agents have been as forthright as they ought to be.

This is the case, not just for real estate agents around the world, but also with professionals in virtually every discipline.

This is also true of Lagos real estate agents.

Most are in for the money. They think of their commission only and not about satisfying the customer. Some are even fraudulent.
