Nigerians actually thought that a change in the company's name meant a change in management and policies
and procedures. They had high hopes that the new company . . . with a new face . . . would outperform
it's predecessor.
Unfortunately, that is not the case. In fact, the electricity situation has worsened.
The failure to supply electricity as required led Nigerians to rename NEPA as Never Expect Power Always.
Later the news came that the inept company is now a PLC. So the name metamorphased to, "Never Expect Power
Always. Please Light Candle".
Those names reflect the people's discontent with the Nigerian electricity giant that is behaving like an
electricity dwarf.
Thinking of doing business in Nigeria?
Think electricity.
Wait. Why do companies come investing in Lagos Nigeria and Nigeria in general?
The answer is simple.
The population, the large market, the profitability potential.
So, if you're thinking of investing in Lagos Nigeria, do not let the Lagos electricity supply dilemma
hold you back. This state boasts of 15 million residents. And Nigeria is a country of 150 million
people.
