Thinking of obtaining an MBA with international recognition in Nigeria? Think Lagos Business School.
I was at LBS sometime in July 2008 for a three-day course on "Problem Solving and Decision Making For Managers". To tell
you the truth . . . I was quite impressed.
|
I am not somebody that gets impressed easily . . . that you can be sure of. So, when I say I was impressed, I really mean it.
For starters, the atmosphere was conducive for learning. The class room was well organized, the seats confortable, the
sound system functional, the projector strategically located, the air conditioning well suited for the size of the hall, the lecturers good at what they do, and the atmosphere quiet and serene.
It is no news that Nigerian education system has suffered a huge rot due to lack of adequate infrastructure to support
the ever increasing student population, disconcerted lecturers, and de-motivated students.
Back in my university days, there were times when the classroom was so crowded that it was almost impossible to hear
what the lecturer was saying unless you were close to the front seat.
The sound system hardly ever worked
The hall was dilapidated
The lecturers were uncomplimentary
The environment was harsh and
Many students sat on the floor because the seats were not enough
Lagos business school - also called the Pan African University - comes tops in terms of standards and adherence to the set
standards.
