Lagos Beaches - Have Fun!

Lagos beaches Nigeria.

Let's take a quick look at beaches in Lagos Nigeria.

Lagos Nigeria is a city sitting in water . . . a city surrounded by several oceans. So beaches are everywhere you look.

The popular Lagos beaches are . . .

  • Bar beach
  • Lekki beach
  • Alpha beach
  • Eleko beach
  • Badagry beach
  • Takwa bay

    . . . and several others.

The beach that have attracted a lot of attention in the last few decades have been Bar beach.

    Why?

Simply put . . . the beach is stubborn.

Talking seriously, Bar beach have tended to overflow its boundaries during the wet season. It overflows its borders and takes over the tarred road next to it. Thereby compounding the already bad traffic situation in Victoria Island Lagos.

The authorities have made several attempts to curb the ocean surge but all have tended to be unable to curb the waves of the 'angry' beach.

Currently, a fresh attempt is been made to create higher barriers to keep the ocean waves in check. It seems like a workable solution is in sight the way the work is progressing.

In a couple of months we should be able to tell if this new attempt will work or not.

In the meantime, you can still enjoy the ocean view and beach fun in other beaches since construction work has made Bar beach a less fun place to be.

Thinking of relaxing and having some fun this weekend?

Well, join me at the beach.

    Choose from the options available.

Have a beach party this weekend?

    Oops! I'm already salivating.
