Honeywell Flour Mills Plc Initial Public Offer

by samson
(lagos)

Honeywell Flour Mills Plc initial public offer opened on December 3rd 2008 to close on December 31 2008.

The company is putting on offer 2,194,117,648 ordinary shares of 50 kobo each at =N=8.50 per share. And the amount is payable in full on application.

Will this amount of shares be fully subscribed?

Honestly, I don't know.

What I do know is that most Nigerian companies who put up IPOs end up being over-subscribed. Nigerians know the value of the stock market!

However, Honeywell Nigeria Plc initial public offer is coming at a time when the stock market is pretty depressed. A whole lot of people have seen their millions devalued to just a few thousands.

Consequently, many people are wary about throwing their money in the Nigeria stock market at this time because of the level of uncertainty about price appreciation.

While some folks are skeptical about investing in the Nigeria stock market at this time, others think this is the right time to invest in the stock market in view of the low prices and the potential of the stock market to bounce back.

So, should you invest in the stock market at this time? Should you go for the Honeywell initial public offer?

It's your choice to make.

Do your due diligence and consult with your financial advisers. Then decide.
