First bank is one of the biggest bank in Nigeria. It also happens to be the oldest bank in Nigeria.

No doubt, this heritage gives the bank some edge over other banks in terms of banking experience.

However, some associate age to overweight, slowness, or sluggishness.

Does being old necessarily have to translate to being slow especially in relation to business?

Not necessarily.

Nevertheless, there is one key area where the bank needs to improve.

The first is with managing bank traffic. Some branches have banking halls that are like market squares. For example, the banking hall of the Iyana Ipaja branch is often very crowded. And that simply means the service rate is not as fast as the customer arrival rate.
